Dr. Max Fernandez

Dr. Max Fernandez serves as the Head of School at Ada Christian School. He is passionate about helping Christian schools cultivate students who love God, pursue wisdom, serve others, and recognize Christ’s lordship over every area of life. He believes Christian education is far more than academic excellence—it is the formation of hearts and minds that faithfully follow Jesus and engage God’s world with truth, grace, and courage.

Dr. Fernandez is committed to partnering with parents, churches, faculty, and the broader school community to ensure that every aspect of school life reflects a distinctly Christian worldview. He believes students flourish in an environment where they are known, challenged, loved, and encouraged to develop their God-given gifts in service to God’s kingdom.

Before joining Ada Christian School, Dr. Fernandez served in pastoral ministry, Christian school leadership, higher education, and healthcare chaplaincy. He holds advanced degrees in theology, ministry, and educational leadership. Throughout his ministry and leadership, his desire has remained the same: to build Christ-centered institutions that equip the next generation to live faithfully in every sphere of life.

Dr. Fernandez and his wife, Catrina, have been married for over twenty-five years and have two adult children, Josiah and Joanna. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, traveling, spending time outdoors, and investing in the ongoing mission of Christian education. As a family, they are grateful to become part of the Ada Christian School community and the greater West Michigan area.

I think this reads naturally for a school website. It is personal without being overly detailed, communicates your educational philosophy, and ends on a warm note that reflects your transition into the Ada Christian community.
